What follows describes our internal rules for preparing texts. The name of the person responsible and the way to reach them are given below.
Who writes and who answers
The same person writes and proofreads the texts. There is always someone answerable for each statement on the site.
Material on this site is prepared and checked by Eleanor Whitfield.
How facts are checked
A statement enters the piece only after it has been checked against a source. The name of the source and its date are given in the text itself, not hidden in a footnote.
How errors are corrected
The easiest way to send a report is with a link to the paragraph in question. We correct the text rather than leaving a retraction underneath it.
